- The Cavaliers are coming into this game with a 3-1 record this season and they have been playing well recently. They lost their 1st game of the season to the 76ers after blowing a 29 point lead in that game, but they have bounced back with 3 straight wins. They are coming off of a 121-111 win at home against the Wizards, but they have struggled in these recent games with 2 of their 3 wins coming by 4 points or less. They have also played their last 3 straight games at home with their only road game this year being the 114-106 loss to the 76ers in the game that they blew a 29 point lead in. This is not a great spot for the Cavaliers either, playing on a B2B here and going on the road after that win against the Wizards last night, also playing their 3rd game in 4 nights with 1 of those going to OT against a very good Timberwolves team. They are going up against a Hawks team that is 2-3 this season and they have not been playing well in their recent games. They started the season 2-0 with wins against the Magic and the Hornets, but now they have lost their last 3 straight games. They lost 2 of those games against a very good Rockets team that is one of the better teams in the league this season and they are coming off of a 129-117 loss at home against the Heat. The Heat were also winless going into that game though so that was a desperate spot for them, but the Hawks are going to be very hungry to bounce back now after 3 straight losses. They are in a similar spot here as they are also playing on a B2B with it being their 3rd game in 4 nights, but they also lost both of those games and have not had to travel since they played the Heat at home last night. The Hawks are still looking for their 1st home win of the season and this is a great spot for them here. The Hawks will cover the spread in this game.
