- The Panthers are coming into this game with a 3-3 record this season and they have been playing well recently. They have won 2 of their last 3 games, but they are coming off of a 43-13 loss at home against the Buccaneers. They got blown out in that game and the Buccaneers did not even have 100 passing yards, running all over the Panthers all game, but they have actually been better on the road this season at 2-1 and they are going to have a response after that bad divisional loss. Their offense has been good this season with Bryce Young playing well in this offense and the defense has also been much better on the road this season, holding opponents under 20 points in 2 of their 3 road games and not allowing more than 21 points in any of those. They are going up against a Packers team that is 4-3 this season and they have been playing well in their recent games. They have won 3 of their last 4 games, but they are coming off of a 20-17 loss on the road against the Lions. Their defense has been very good in their last 4 games, but their offense has been struggling more in that span as well. They have been held under 20 points in 3 of their last 5 games and they only scored 17 points in their last game with Josh Jacobs returning. Their run game has been awful this season without Jacobs, but he only had 36 rushing yards in his return. They are still struggling to run the ball with problems on their offensive line and running is the way to beat this Panthers defense, so that Packers offense will continue to struggle here. The Packers have not been allowing a lot of points on defense, but their secondary has not been that great and the Panthers have the weapons to attack this defense. The Panthers are going to have a response here after that awful loss last week and they were in a similar position last season as they lost at home to the Bills 40-9 and then followed that up with a 16-13 win on the road against the Packers. The Panthers will cover the spread in this game.
