- Blues over the Bruins tonight looks like the spot.
Boston’s clearly the better team on paper (9-3-1, top of the Atlantic, tight defense), but this is basically a pick’em at Enterprise Center and St. Louis has the bounce-back angle. They got blanked 0-2 at home by Montreal and still managed 46 shots — plenty of looks, just nothing going in. After a stretch like that the goals usually start dropping, and this is the finale of a homestand where they can still finish 3-2.
Joel Hofer’s been solid (.917, 2.40 GAA) and the Blues have enough finishers (Thomas, Holloway, McTavish, Snuggerud, Buchnevich) to punish a team if the puck starts finding the net. Montgomery’s group has been frustrated; a home crowd and a tight line is a good time for them to respond.
