Yesterday’s Results for Miami Marlins vs Arizona Diamondbacks

Analysis: At 9:40 pm, our selection is on the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Miami Marlins. The Diamondbacks made one of their biggest offseason moves after the 2024 season when they signed free agent starter Corbin Burnes to a 6-year, $210 Million contract. The righthanded ace got 11 starts in for Arizona last season before developing elbow issues that would result in ligament replacement surgery. Burnes came back last week and threw three scoreless innings against the Royals as the team is going to be understandably cautious with their starting pitcher leading up to the post-season (which they're obviously hoping to be a part of). Expect a little longer leash tonight in start number two as Burnes goes against a pesky Marlins lineup. In seven career appearances vs. Miami (five starts), Burnes is 2-1 with a 2.31 ERA and 0.88 WHIP with 36 strikeouts and three walks in 35 innings.
