Furthermore, the Cubs have several big time swingers in their lineup capable of altering the game with one swing. Overall, Chicago projects to have the deeper lineup in this game. Chicago should also have an advantage when it comes to playing match-ups late in this game. They’ll be able to tax Atlanta’s bullpen if they’re able to work Lopez out of the game by the middle innings. At home, the Cubs should also have a better chance of managing their pitching matchups down the stretch. Chicago has a lot to play for here towards the end of the season. They should come into this game with some sense of urgency, and with home-field advantage and a deeper lineup, I like Chicago to manufacture enough offense to win against Atlanta on Monday.
