- This is a play on the WASHINGTON NATIONALS as part of our MLB Friday Double Play. Foster Griffin is coming off a quality outing in his last game and it was the worst start he has put up since the end of May. He tossed six innings and allowed three runs against Arizona and prior to that, he went eight straight starts of allowing one run or no runs and posted a 1.26 ERA across 50 innings over that eight-game stretch. He has been equally good on the road as he has been at home as those sit at 2.63 and 2.75 respectively and he has a 0.97 WHIP on the road. Bryce Elder has settled down after a rough stretch at the end of June but he still have been regressing since an awesome start.
