- The Nationals are coming into this game with a 55-55 record this season and they have not been playing well in their recent games. They have lost 3 of their last 4 games now, but they lost their last series to the Blue Jays at home and have been much better on the road this season at 32-21. They also have one of the better offenses in the league this season and will be hungry to bounce back after a close 5-4 loss to open up this series. He has been great in his recent starts as he has allowed just 1 earned run or less in 8 of his last 9 starts and he has not allowed more than 3 earned runs in any of those. He has been very good on the road recently as well, allowing just 1 earned run or less in each of his last 5 as well as 7 of his last 8 road starts.
