Chargers vs Rams Prediction

The current betting odds have the Rams listed as a 6.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Rams haven't looked great in their games this season with their 3-4 record overall which has them right near the bottom of the NFC West. They haven't looked great on their home field either with their 1-2 home record this season. Meanwhile, the Chargers have looked terrible in their games this season with their 0-6 record overall which has them right at the bottom of the AFC West. They haven't been a good road team either with their 0-3 road record this year. The Chargers are coming off a 22-6 loss to the Chiefs in their last one and now they are coming out of their bye week, but they have been a complete disaster all season. Their defense hasn't been terrible, but their offense has been and it doesn't help that they are dealing with a ton of injuries. They are the only team left in the NFL this season that hasn't won a game yet and it doesn't look like it is going to get any better for them with the teams coming up on their schedule. The Rams haven't looked that great themselves this season, being the Super Bowl favorites at the start of the year, but they looked a lot better in their last one and could be turning the corner now. They took a really bad loss to the Cardinals 18-16 just 2 weeks ago, but that loss really gave them a wake-up call and they answered it with a 35-21 win over the Raiders in their last one. Their defense hasn't looked that great this season, but they still have a ton of talent to work with. They also have a lot more talent on offense and they aren't nearly as banged up as the Chargers who look like they have no light at the end of the tunnel. Look for the Rams to take advantage of a Chargers team that has been a disaster all season and use this as a get right game to get back to .500. The best way to place a bet here is on the Rams to cover the spread in this game.

Chargers Rams Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, November 1, 2026 (4:05 pm ET start time) is Rams 27 Chargers 17.

Notable Quotes

“There's no justification. There's nothing I would say that wouldn't sound like an excuse. I'm opposed to that to the core, and pointing fingers. But I believe this is a team game. Definitely, offensively, we need to evaluate. We need to look at it all — everything we're doing, how we're doing it.” - Jim Harbaugh after his team’s loss against the Chiefs in their last game.

“This league is so humbling. Humility is only a day away, but I was proud of the way the group prepared and, most importantly, celebrating each other’s success, having the right energy when you’re on the road and it’s just you versus the opponent and their fans.” - Sean McVay after his team’s win against the Raiders in their last game.
